XIII Century buckler (fist shield)

Here's a nice buckler as seen in the Royal Armouries I.33 manuscript (aka the "Tower of London" manuscript), the earliest known combat manual in European history!

Materials used: beech plywood for the body and a piece of broomstick for the handle, glue, linen, acrylic paint, iron nails and rivets, leather.
