The keeper of the vineyards

Well... I do have this wee digital camera, hardly better than a potato, but I never used it for taking "serious" pictures.
Also, I have no idea of how to take a good picture. So let us try! Why not?
Last month is has snowed a bit, so I decided to have a walk by the hills around my hame to take some pictures, just for trying.
This picture depicts what we call the "rôl grant", which simply means "the great oak".
This venerable tree is very very old and it was also struck by a lighting once, and yet here it stands like a sleeping giant guarding the town
Maybe this is fairly a poor picture, but I really like the subject: if I ever learn hot to take good pictures I'll sure photograph this oak again and again
Any critique or suggestion for improving my still-not-existent photography skills are more than welcome!
