Description
The latest version of my personal XIII Century shield!
The bear was inspired by the illumination from folio 313r of Codex Masesse, while the axe comes from the Maciejowski Bible (folio 3r, and many Others).
The word on the back of the shield is a sort of motivational motto for me: it's "CJAVESTRI", which in Friulian Language means more or less "stubborn, headstrong, determined"
Materials: beech plywood, skin, leather, iron rivets, glue, linen and acrylic paint.
